Cumberland Valley Engineering, Inc. was established in 1985 and is located in Harlan, Kentucky. We provide a variety of civil/mining engineering, surveying, construction management/inspection and field/laboratory testing services throughout the southeastern Kentucky, Southwestern Virginia and Northern Tennessee area.

Past and current projects include a wide variety of mining, civil, surveying, construction monitoring and laboratory testing projects. Office staff are experienced in a variety of design and construction projects. These projects range from large scale mining operations to site designs to subdivision design to drainage control projects. My field personnel include survey crews and construction inspectors/ technicians. My survey crews are experienced in all types of survey work, including property, construction layout, slope staking, control and GPS. My construction inspectors/technicians have worked on a wide variety of construction projects and all hold current certifications for field density testing of soils, field testing of concrete and aggregate sampling.

The laboratory facility has the trained personnel and equipment necessary to perform a wide variety of laboratory testing on water, soils, aggregates and concrete. Testing capabilities include both chemical and physical testing.
